Zimbabwe: President Mugabe celebrates 92nd birthday
The Zimbabwe African National Union - Patriotic Front party (ZANU-PF) hosted a birthday celebration at Mucheke Stadium in the southern Masvingo province in honour of their leader and president of the country, Robert Mugabe.
Thousands of Mugabe's supporters were presented at the party, where they danced while a band played music. Robert Mugabe addressed his supporters, saying that "if aid, as I understand, is to be given on the basis that we accept the principle of gay marriage, then let that aid stay where it is, we don't want it, it's rotten aid."
During the celebrations, Mugabe was accompanied by his wife Grace Mugabe, and other high-rank politicians of the ZANU-PF party, such as Zimbabwean Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa or the Youth League Leader Pupurai Togarepi.
Robert Mugabe has been President of Zimbabwe since 22 December 1987 when he became the country's first executive head of state, after he was one of the leaders of the rebel groups against white minority rule. He became 92-years-old on Saturday.
