
Spain: Sony unveils new Xperia X series at MWC 2016
Sony Mobile Communications CEO and president Hiroki Totoki unveiled the new series of Xperia X smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Monday.
Totoki presented the Xperia X, Xperia XA and the X Performance as well as a range of gadgets including the Xperia Ear earpiece and the Xperia Projector.
Each model in the new Xperia X series is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and comes with Qnovo's adaptive charging technology, a 5-inch (12.7 centimetre) screen and predictive hybrid autofocus technology. Announcing the partnership with Qnovo, Totoki said: "With Xperia X you have up to two days battery life of course but we've added more intelligence to maximise the battery's lifespan as well. We've included Qnovo's adaptive charging technology into Xperia X."
The Mobile World Congress is the world's largest exhibition for the mobile phone industry. The event runs from February 22 until February 25.
