USA: Feel the Bern! Sanders lays into tax-dodging billionaires
Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders held a rally at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Tuesday, in the lead up to Georgia's primary in three weeks time.
During his speech, Sanders reiterated that voters should not let "the Trumps of the world" to divide them. Sanders spoke of the country's "absurd priorities" saying, "we give huge tax breaks to billionaires but mums can't find affordable quality childcare. We spend more money per person on healthcare and 29 million Americans have no health insurance at all".
On Tuesday, Vincent Fort, the second-highest ranking Democrat in the Georgia state Senate, switched his endorsement from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to Sanders.
Sanders will go up against Clinton in Georgia's Democratic primary on March 1.
