Russia: These electric rollerblades can hit 90 km/h!

A 32-year-old programmer from St. Petersburg has designed electric rollerblades that accelerate to 90 kilometres per hour (56 m/h) and can be remotely controlled.

Speaking about his invention on Monday, Artyom Rodichkin stated that he wanted to “create the fastest, most compact and lightest form of electric transport."

It took him around 10 prototypes to design the current modification, after he “tried all the possible design options” including different materials, frames and wheel sizes.

In the future, Artyom Rodichkin plans to improve the current modification using lighter material for the frame, increasing ground clearance and reducing the height of the frame.
