Russia: US and Poland 'actors in the same operetta' - FM's Zakharova
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova commented on relations between Russia and Poland during a press briefing in Moscow on Friday.
"We are ready to develop economic and political relations with Poland, we are ready to solve the most complex issues related to our history," she stated, adding "this is a constructive way and this way stipulates cooperation." However, Polish authorities "receive messages and signals from Washington," she said, saying those two states "are all actors in the same operetta."
She went on to say that NATO continues to "move towards Russian borders" and that its members "increase [their] military expenditure" in the region, despite there being no military conflicts in the area. "How can one explain this? It is very easy - one just creates a myth about a Russian threat," Zakharova added.
