USA: Injured Ryan Bundy arrives at hospital after deadly standoff *EXCLUSIVE*

Ammon Bundy, the leader of the armed militia occupying the federal-owned Malheur National Wildlife Refuge near Burns, was arrested with five other militiamen after a confrontation with the FBI and Oregon State Police on a highway near Burns, Tuesday. One militiaman was killed in the confrontation and Ammon's brother Ryan Bundy sustained non-life threatening injuries after being shot by law enforcement officers. Footage shows an air ambulance delivering Ryan Bundy to the St. Charles Harney District Hospital in Bend shortly after the standoff.

Law enforcement officials are yet to identify the person who died in the shootout. However, local reports are indicating that Robert “LaVoy” Finicum is the man who died.

FBI agents and Oregon State Police reportedly stopped Bundy and the five other militiamen near to the refuge as they made their way to the John Day Senior Centre in neighbouring Grant County. Officials named the arrested men as Ammon Bundy, his brother Ryan Bundy, Shawna Cox, Brian Cavalier and Ryan Payne.

A sixth militiaman, Joe O'Shaughnessy, was also arrested in a separate incident in closer to Burns, according to reports. All six arrested men have been charged with conspiracy to impede a federal officer by force, a felony offence.

The armed militia, who refer to themselves as the 'Citizens for Constitutional Freedom,' seized the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge headquarters, located around 50 miles (80km) from Burns, on January 2. The siege came after some 300 people marched through Burns to protest against the prosecution of county ranchers Dwight Hammond Jr. and Steven Hammond, who were detained for setting fire to federal government land.
