      Russia: Medvedev discusses federal budget balancing in Moscow

      Russia: Medvedev to hold series of meetings regarding Federal budget balancing

      The Russian Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev spoke about "serious risks for budget execution" at a finance meeting in Moscow, Monday, saying that the government had needed to make adjustments to initial budgeting of an “average annual price of oil 50 dollars per barrel."

      At the same time Medvedev expressed a positive opinion about the situation being resolved, saying "given the complexity of the environment, the Central Bank has a complete set of instruments for rapid response to the situation."

      He went on saying that "we are currently developing an action plan to ensure sustainable socio-economic development"
