Belgium: Mogherini hails implementation of Minsk agreements
EU Foreign Policy chief Federica Mogherini hailed the implementation of the Minsk peace agreements in Ukraine, during a press conference in Brussels, Monday. The EU leader was speaking following the European Council meeting of foreign ministers in Belgium's capital.
With regards to Western-mandated reforms to the Ukrainian judiciary, public administration system, and de-centralisation legislation, Mogherini commended "the incredible, outstanding work that the Ukrainian authorities have done over the past month to move forward the reform agenda with very concrete steps."
The Italian also took time to address the EU's expectations in the Syrian peace process, stating "I do not expect this process to be easy or even be fast but I expect this process to start in good faith and with enough political will inside Syria and outside Syria to allow it to start."
