
Russia: Greek president and Putin boost bilateral economic ties
Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed his Greek counterpart Prokopis Pavlopoulos at his Moscow residence in Novo-Ogaryovo, Friday, do discuss biltateral relations between the two countries.
Discussing bilateral economic ties, Putin annouced that several Russian companies will attend Greece's upcoming international trade fair in Thessalonki in September and will invite Greece to join the roundtable at this year's SPIEF economic forum in Saint-Petersburg.
Pavlopoulos invited Putin to Greece, saying that “now it is your turn to come to Athens”, adding that the “contribution of Russia to the current world situation is very important.”
It is the first time that the Greek President has visited Putin in Russia since being elected in March 2015.
