      India: Bear battered by locals after it attacks villagers in Chitradurga *GRAPHIC*

      A black bear made a wrong turn into a village in the Chitradurga district on Wednesday, the animal attacked several villagers after it entered the small rural village and met its unfortunate fate after locals took revenge and battered it to death.

      The bear reportedly attacked several villagers after it entered the village earlier in the day. In response, men from the village armed themselves with sticks and large stones and cornered the bear before beating it to death.

      The injured villagers were taken to a nearby hospital where they were then treated. No fatalities were reported.
