Serbia: Molotov cocktails scorch police vehicles as anti-govt. protests engulf Pristina
Police and protesters clashed during anti-government protest organised by opposition parties in Pristina, Saturday, with scores of demonstrators throwing Molotov cocktails, fire crackers, and stones at the Assembly of Kosovo building. Several police vehicles were set on fire, with a number of police officers reported injured.
Police initially responded with teargas but as tensions escalated, law enforcement used water cannon in a bid to disperse the crowd. Protesters were pushed from the assembly building further to outside of the city centre.
The protests were called to rally against Kosovo's EU-mediated agreements with Serbia.
