
Serbia: President Nikolic attends Orthodox Christmas service led by Patriarch Irinej
Patriarch Irinej of Serbia led a service at the Cathedral of St. Michael in Belgrade, Thursday, celebrating Orthodox Christmas Day.
Among the attendees at the service were Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic, Justice Minister Nikola Selakovic, Catholic Archbishop of Belgrade Stanislav Hocevar and members of the Serbian royal family.
Following the Julian calendar, Serbian Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas 13 days later than those who use the Gregorian calendar.
