
Germany: Bavarian village marks religious festival with incredible light display
Villagers put the finishing touches to an impressive light display in the Franconian village of Pottenstein, on Wednesday.
The display, which includes electronic lights as well as a thousands fires set on the hillsides around the small village, is an annual ritual to mark the Catholic festival of the Ewige Anbetung (Eternal Adoration).
The Pottensteiner light display is the largest of its kind in the region, with at least 25,000 people attending the festivities.
