
Syria: Army troops battle militants in Daraa
Syrian Arab Army troops clashed with militants from the "al-Muthana Islamic Movement" at checkpoints in the Al-Sheikh Miskin district of Daraa, Tuesday.
Army soldiers destroyed two vehicles equipped with machine guns and killed 14 militants in the attack, including one of the group's leaders, Abu Bakr al-Mohajr, along with Mohsin al-Salakhzat from Jordan, Saiel al-Ware'a, Mufid Abu Nabout, and Qassim Mohamed al-Salah.
Social media accounts affiliated with al-Muthana Islamic Movement later confirmed that several of its members had been killed during the clashes.
