An armed man was shot dead in a mall packed with Christmas shoppers in Charlotte, North Carolina, Thursday.
People were seen fleeing the mall while at least two people are reported to have suffered minor injuries. The man was shot in what the police called an "officer-involved shooting". Local media report that two men got into a fight near a shop and one shot the other with a gun. The assailant was declared deceased at the scene. No officers were hurt during the incident.
