
Russia: Putin tours RT as 10th anniversary celebrated in Moscow
President Vladimir Putin participated in the 10th year anniversary celebration of the RT news channel, after which he delivered a congratulatory speech, in Moscow, Thursday.
The Russian leader visited the multimedia exhibition dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the start of the broadcast of RT channel. Putin was shown around the exhibition hall by the editor-in-chief of RT Margarita Simonyan. The president had a chance to explore the installation, called "the River of Time," that collected more than 100 events in the life of RT for 10 years. Margarita Simonyan showed Vladimir Putin how to select topics of interest and view the corresponding videos on the multimedia screen.
Later, the president joined the celebration in the Metropol hotel that hosted many honoured guests, including Putin's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev and many other politicians, as well as the employees of the Russian and foreign media.
