Russia: Meet the police dog being donated to France
Dobrynya, the German Shepherd puppy that will donated by Russia's Interior Ministry to the French police force, continued to be trained in Moscow, Friday. The donation follows the death of the police dog Diesel, a 7-year-old Belgian Malinois, during a French Special Forces raid in Saint-Denis following the Paris terror attacks.
The raid in Saint-Denis resulted in the deaths of at least three people and led to five police officers sustaining injuries. Eight suspects were also arrested. The target of the operation was the suspected 'mastermind' of the Paris attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud. Abaaoud was killed by French police during the raid. Another unidentified body, believed to be a man, was also found in the apartment.
Three men, whose identities are currently unknown, were arrested by French police during the raid. The apartment's landlord and his female friend were also detained along with three other suspects.
