
Lithuania: Reburial ceremony held for 75 Soviet soldiers killed in WWII
The reburial ceremony of the remains of 75 Soviet soldiers, who died fighting to liberate Lithuania in 1944, was held in Vilkaviskis, Thursday.
Alexander Udaltsov, the Russian ambassador to Lithuania was present at the ceremony and delivered a speech. With reference to the revive of nationalistic movements he said "we can't really say that through the tremendous deeds of the soldiers' lives, their blood, fascism has been eradicated fascism from this world, although back then it was successfully pushed back. Today we are facing a manifestation and a revival [of fascism] among neo-fascist ranks and circles."
