USA: Hillary 'should be in jail', says Trump during election rally in Sarasota

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said that Hillary Clinton "should be in jail for what she did," during an election campaign rally at the Robarts Arena in Sarasota, Florida, on Saturday.

Trump's election rally was disrupted early on with an anti-Trump protester being thrown out of the arena to boos and jeers from the crowd, with Trump saying "you see how diplomatic I've become?," in reference to an incident at Trump's last rally in Alabama where a Black Lives Matter activist was punched and kicked by Trump supporters.

Trump went on to express confidence in winning both the Hispanic and African-American votes, stating that if poll numbers are true, he would win this election "easily." Trump also claimed that if elected, the US would start "winning on trade," adding that "we are not going to let China have a trade imbalance."

The Republican presidential hopeful also slammed fellow presidential candidate Marco Rubio for missing a Homeland Security meeting after the Paris attacks of 13 November, stating that instead "he went to a fundraiser in Los Angeles. You tell me, is that right? No, it's just not right."

"We can't have four more years of Hillary [Clinton] with her scandals. She shouldn't even be allowed to run," continued Trump, slamming the likely Democratic presidential nominee, adding that "she should be in jail for what she did. She should be in jail."

The latest polls on the Republican presidential election candidates show Trump far ahead in the polls with 36 percent of the vote, double Trump's first rival Marco Rubio with 18 percent. At third place is Ben Carson with 15 percent, while former Florida Governor Jeb Bush is ranked fifth with 8.9 percent.
