
Afghanistan: Suicide blast targets senior election official in Kabul
A senior Afghan election official was left unharmed after a suicide bomber targeted his vehicle in Kabul on Saturday, the capital's chief of police said at the scene of the blast.
The explosion killed the driver and wounded one other person in the vehicle, General Abdul Rahman Rahimi told reporters. A woman standing in the vicinity was also wounded in the blast.
The suicide attack targeted Abdul Rahman Rodwal, regional director at the Independent Election Commission. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
