France: Tricolor flags flood Paris in tribute to terror attack victims
Parisians covered their homes, businesses, vehicles and even themselves in French flags on Friday, after French President Francois Hollande called for people to display the flag to honour the victims of the Paris attacks.
A memorial service commemorating the victims of the attacks is being held at Les Invalides on the national day of mourning. Hollande is scheduled to speak to the guests, among them are the families of the 130 people who were killed in a series of terror attacks that swept the French capital. A number of people wounded in the attacks are also due to attend.
The memorial comes two weeks after 130 people were killed and more than 349 were left injured, when gunmen carried out a series of coordinated attacks at six different locations across Paris on November 13. The so-called Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attack.
