
France: Pictures released showing Saint-Denis flat after deadly police raid

Photographs were released on Saturday showing the aftermath of the French Special Forces raid in Saint-Denis, Paris, on Wednesday, November 18. The pictures show the destroyed flat with bullet holes in the walls and a damaged staircase.
The raid in Saint-Denis resulted in the deaths of at least three people and led to five police officers sustaining injuries. Eight suspects were also arrested. The target of the operation was the suspected 'mastermind' of the Paris attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud. Abaaoud was killed by French police during the raid. A woman, thought to be the cousin of Abaaoud, was also killed after allegedly detonating a suicide bomb. Another unidentified body, believed to be a man, was also found in the apartment. Three men, whose identities are currently unknown, were arrested by French police during the raid. The apartment's landlord and his female friend were also detained along with three other suspects.
