
Argentina: Thousands flood Scioli's final pre-election rally
Front for Victory's presidential candidate Daniel Scioli staged his final rally before the elections in Buenos Aires, Thursday.
Scioli summoned some 10,000 supporters from the Peronist unity at Gonzalez Catan stadium. Hundreds of people had even followed his speech crowding around a giant screen located outside the stadium. Scioli led the campaign's closing ceremony that began just after 19:30 by singing the national anthem and thanking the village of La Matanza for being the capital of Peronismo.
A general election was held on 25 October 2015, with a second round of voting between the two leading parties due to take place on 22 November since neither succeeded in securing a majority.
At the preliminary elections, the Front for Victory took 38,6% followed by Cambiemos with 30,1% of the votes.
