USA: Elio Motors unveils P5 Prototype at Los Angeles Auto Show
Elio Motors unveiled its fifth generation prototype, a three-wheeled vehicle called the 'P5', at Los Angeles Auto Show, Thursday.
Slightly longer than its predecessor, the P4, the model's new aerodynamic design has greater fuel efficiency. With the new engine from IAV, the P5 is projected to go from 0-to-60 MPH in 9.6 seconds, have a top speed of more than 100 MPH (160 KMH).
The company plans to launch the model in late 2016, and it is expected to have a retail base price of 6,800 USD (6,300 EUR). The company reports that more than 47,000 people have already made a reservation for a place in line to purchase a P5 once the production kicks off.
