
Russia: EMERCOM hotline processes 2,000 calls regarding Egypt flights
According to the Ministry of Emergency situations, the EMERCOM hotline in Moscow processed approximately 2,000 calls from citizens on Saturday.
The hotline was opened by the operational headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in order to inform people about the air traffic situation between Russia and Egypt. Reportedly, the hotline will provide information during the Emergency Ministry' operational headquarters.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin supported the initiative of the Federal Security Service Director, Aleksandr Bortnikov, to suspend indefinitely all air traffic between Russia and Egypt. This initiative comes after the crash of the Russian airplane on Sinai peninsula on October 31, which took 224 lives.
