
Russia: "No sense in coming to airport" - Dvorkovich warns tourists in Egypt
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich chaired the first meeting of the newly formed Operational Committee, in Moscow on Friday. The operational committee is meeting to find solutions relating to the termination of flights between Russia and Egypt on Friday.
Dvorkovich announced that "it is necessary to ensure citizens are informed in all possible ways about the fact that there is now no sense in coming to the airports." The minister stressed that "we are not talking about an evacuation," rather a "planned return" of our citizens from Egypt to Russia.
Dvorkovich's comments come after Director of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) Alexander Bortnikov announced the suspension of all flights from Russia to Egypt. According to Kremlin FSB to halt all Russian flights to Egypt until the investigation is over.
