Greece: Hundreds of refugees arrive at Lesbos
Hundreds of refugees arrived in small boats at the northeast coast of Lesbos, Friday.
The refugees, predominantly from Syria, arrived in small vessels, many of them without engine. They were assisted by rescue team members and volunteers on shore. Footage taken shows the vessels packed with refugees arriving at the Greek island.
On Thursday, the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, accompanied by the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz, visited the island of Lesbos. They were guided around a refugee 'hotspot' in Moria, meeting some of the newly arrived asylum seekers.
