Soldiers from several countries within NATO, including Ukraine, Spain and Belgium took part in the Trident Juncture 2015 military exercises in both the Chinchilla Airbase and the Zaragoza Airbase both in Spain, on Friday.

Spanish Special Forces parachuted out of Canadian-piloted Lockheed C-130 Hercules planes, in a display of aerial force in Chinchilla. Whilst in Zaragoza, Ukrainian soldiers along with Belgian paratroopers boarded Ilyushin Il-76 planes, ahead of the next stage of the exercises.

The US-led Trident Juncture 2015 military exercises involve 36,000 troops from 30 countries and will take place until November 6. Involving 230 military units who will perform in bases in Spain, Italy and Portugal, the exercises will be the biggest NATO military exercise to take place since 2002.
