SOT, Journalist (English): "How important is this for you now?"

SOT, Family member of victims (English): "Important is the next report, who is the guilty one. For us that's the most important thing now."

SOT, Journalist (English): "But this will help you today? This today will help you?"

SOT, Family member of victims (English): "This will help us, yes. Thank you very much."

SOT, Journalist (English): "That's your message today?"

SOT, Family member of victims aboard flight MH17 (English): "Proper Geordie style, we'll keep fighting."

SOT, Tjibbe Joustra, Dutch Safety Board chairperson (English): "Well no, I don't think that the next of kin are very interested [in a dispute with Moscow]."

SOT, Journalist (English): "And for the families who are still waiting for further remains, do you think that an investigation such as this puts it to bed?"

SOT, Tjibbe Joustra, Dutch Safety Board chairperson (English): "I hope so, I hope so. We have done our utmost to come to conclusions. We have done our utmost to give as much information to the next of kin as possible. So, that's what we can do."

Family members that lost their loved ones on Malaysian Airline flight MH17 that crashed over east Ukraine in July 2014 met with the chairperson of the Dutch Safety Board Tjibbe Joustra in The Hague, Tuesday.

Members of the mourning families stated that their only question was why and that they are now waiting for the next report, which will conclude who is to blame. Responding to a question of whether a dispute with Moscow is on the cards, Joustra replied "no, I don't think that the next of kin are very interested [in a dispute with Moscow]."

In the final conclusion of the report Joustra stated that the plane was struck with a 9N314M BUK missile, althought this conclusion was not endorsed by all representatives of the states involved, with Russia disputing that the type of warhead can be determined with certainty.

Joustra also stated that the airspace above conflict zones in east Ukraine should have been closed off by Ukrainian authorities, stating that "the risks posed to civil aviation were not adequately identified."

The Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 was en route to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam when it was downed in the skies over eastern Ukraine on July 17, 2014. All 298 including 80 children, and 15 crew members were killed.
