Russia: Putin awards Russian Grand Prix trophy to Lewis Hamilton
Russian President Vladimir Putin presented Lewis Hamilton with a trophy after the British Formula One driver won the 2015 Russian Grand Prix in Sochi, Sunday.
Hamilton, who drives for the German Mercedes team, edged closer to his third world championship after winning the race. Second place went to German Sebastian Vettel, who drives for the Italian Ferrari team, while Sergio Perez came in third place for Force India.
The Russian Grand Prix is the fifteenth of nineteen stages in the Formula One World Championship. This is the second year that Russia has staged a Grand Prix. In 2010 it was announced that Sochi would host the event under a seven-year deal signed with Formula One.
