
State of Palestine: Thousands march in Gaza to mark 34 years of Palestinian Islamic Jihad
Thousands of Palestinians marched through Gaza City, Friday, to mark the establishment of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) 34 years ago and to show support for Palestinians protesting throughout the West Bank and Jerusalem.
The march, titled 'Jerusalem is our goal,' was organised by the leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Marchers made their way to the Shawwa and Hosary Tower in Gaza city, where they listened to speeches from PIJ leaders and organisers.
According to the Red Cross medical agency at least 900 Palestinians have been injured throughout the West Bank and Jerusalem in seven consecutive days of protests and clashes with Israeli security forces.
