
USA: Armed man detained after barricading himself inside police HQ
A man armed with a gun and other weapons barricaded himself inside the lobby of a police headquarters in Arvada, Colorado on Friday before being detained. Investigators were seen photographing the scene of the incident at the police building on 8101 Ralston Road.
A SWAT team and investigators helped end the situation following a four-hour stand-off. The man exited the building and was detained after SWAT team members used a flash-bang-like device to force him out of the police HQ. No injuries were reported and no hostages were taken.
Police say the man, who was armed with a gun and a knife, appeared to be suicidal.
