      At least four people were killed and eleven others wounded when a car bomb went off in central Baghdad on Monday. The explosion occurred at a garage in a busy commercial district in an area that is home to both Sunni and Shi'ite Muslims.

      Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS, ISIL) reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack via an online statement some hours after the bomb went off.

      The central government in Baghdad is currently locked in an ongoing struggle against the Islamic insurgent group in the country's north and west.
