
Ukraine: PM Yatsenyuk announces fresh sanctions against Russia
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced a raft of new sanctions against Russia, including the banning of two of Russia's most popular airlines 'Aeroflot' and 'Transaero,' in Kiev on Friday. "There is no place for Russian planes with Russian flags in Ukrainian airports." The ban will extend to all transit flights by Russian planes carrying military hardware.
As well as aerospace the sanctions will stretch into the field of computers, with the latest measures banning Ukrainian state agencies from using Russian computing software. Among the companies set to be affected by the sanction, is Kaspersky Labs, who have designed and developed well-used anti-virus software. Furthermore another 105 companies and a further 388 individuals were added to Ukraine's blacklist; barring them from entering and/or operating in the country.
