France: "F*ck Merkel" - Far-right protesters oppose EU refugee quota
Hundreds of far-right protesters gathered at the German embassy in Paris on Thursday to protest what the organisers described as a "migrant flood into Europe".
The protest was organised by the SIEL (Sovereignty, Independence and Liberty) party aligned to Marine Le Pen's Front National in response to the drawing up this week of a quota system by European leaders intended to disperse refugees across EU member states.
Demonstrators carried Hungarian flags in tribute to the tough stance taken by Prime Minister Viktor Orban in response to the refugee influx, while German Chancellor Angela Merkel was condemned for her handling of the crisis which has included suspending the Dublin Regulation for refugees fleeing their country's ongoing civil war.
