
Russia: Putin visits Rostov region to discuss agricultural development
Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Rostov, one of the country's largest agricultural regions, to inspect local farms and discuss future plans for the development of the agricultural sector, Thursday.
The Russian leader was accompanied by Southern Federal District ambassador Vladimir Ustinov and the Governor of the Rostov Region Vasili Golubev.
The agenda of the gathering seeks to address the preliminary results of 2015's harvest, along with the problems and the conditions needed to develop agricultural sub-sectors.
