
Greece: Re-elected government sworn in at Presidential Palace in Athens
Greek Prime Minister and Syriza leader Alexis Tsipras attended the swearing in ceremony of his re-elected government at the Presidential Palace in Athens, Wednesday. Tsipras was officially sworn in as the prime minister of Greece for the second time in 2015 at the same venue on Monday.
Wednesday's ceremony was presided over by the Archbishop of Athens, Ieronymos II, and attended by Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos.
On Sunday Tsipras' Syriza party won their second election in less than nine months, taking 35.54 percent of the votes compared to New Democracy's 27 percent. Syriza renewed its coalition government with the Independent Greeks party after failing to secure an outright majority
