Belgium: Sweden's Johansson 'not embarrassed' by countries that didn't back quotas
Swedish Minister for Justice and Migration Morgan Johansson said that he was "not embarrassed" by that fact that EU ministers had to override countries like Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and the Czech Republic that chose not to back the plan for refugee quotas, as he left the Extraordinary Justice and Home Affairs Council meeting in Brussels, Tuesday.
"I'm not embarrassed," he said before saying "this is a very big Union - with 28 member states, with different governments, with different political views. Given that, I'm still happy that we could reach such a big majority that we did."
He also confirmed that Sweden's taking in of a further 120,000 refugees will commence this autumn.
