
Russia: Putin and Netanyahu shake hands after meeting in Moscow
Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Moscow, Monday, to discuss the ongoing conflict in Syria and the situation in the Middle East. After the meeting the pair shook hands outside Putin's Novo-Ogaryovo residence. Netanyahu also addressed the media before departing.
During the meeting, Putin said that the Syrian Army and government are focused on saving its statehood. "With regard to Syria, we all know that today the Syrian Army, and Syria itself are in such a state that it can't open a second front - it needs to save its own statehood," Putin stated.
