
Turkey: Two PKK fighters killed in clashes with Turkish security forces
Two fighters from the Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK) were killed in the eastern Turkish city of Tunceli, Friday, after clashing with Turkish security forces.
Turkish authorities reported that the two fighters attacked a police station around 11:30 local time (08:30 GMT), sparking a gunfight in the street that lasted for about 30 minutes and ended with both men killed and reports of one civilian injured.
A group of locals later argued with Turkish police forces, wishing to take the bodies of the dead men. Turkish police responded by firing into the air to disperse the crowd.
