Germany: LG rolls out ultra-high resolution TVs at IFA Berlin

LG Electronics unveiled its newest TV screens at the 2015 IFA international consumer electronics show in Berlin, Thursday. The TVs included the HDR-ready 4,000 pixel Organic LED-TV, the LG 4K OLED-TV and the 8,000 pixels 98 inch (249 cm) Super Ultra HD TV. LG collaborated with TV networks and other content providers to stream their high definition content on its newest TVs.

The '8K Super UHD TV 98' (7680 x 4320 pixels) boasts 16 times greater resolution than a normal 1080p HD television and four times that of the latest 4,000 pixel TVs, while LG's newest 4K pixel TV is an organic LED screen. According to an LG spokesperson, both give a TV experience with the "perfect light and the perfect colour."

LG also introduced a luxurious limited edition smartwatch, which they brought out jointly with the American retailer REEDS Jewellers. The LG Watch Urbane Luxe is coated with 23-karat gold, has a crocodile leather strap, and will enter the market by the end of October for a price of $1,000 (€900).
