Germany: "We must not slacken our efforts" in E. Ukraine - Steinmeier
While the recent ceasefire between Kiev and anti-Kiev forces in eastern Ukraine is still holding "we must not slacken our efforts," German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said as he gave a press conference alongside his Jordanian counterpart Nasser Judeh in Berlin, Wednesday.
According to Steinmeier, the "fate" of earlier ceasefires has shown that "we have to be careful” in judging pauses in the Ukrainian conflict, despite the country "experiencing" its "calmest moment since February, March this year."
The next steps must be to further remove heavy and light weapons from the frontlines, the German FM added.
