Thousands of steel workers rallied in Chesterton, Indiana, Tuesday, demanding contract settlements.

The rally began with members of United steelworkers labour union (USW) holding speeches to demanding fair union contracts. The protesters then marched towards the ArcelorMittal building in Burns Harbor, Indiana.

Earlier on Tuesday, over two thousand steel workers went on strike in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, demanding contract settlements.

The strike came after over 2,200 workers of steel manufacturing corporations ArcelorMittal and US steel were locked out of their jobs starting on September 1 when their contracts expired.
