France: Le Pen slams EU and 'radical Islam' during Brachay rally
Front National President Marine Le Pen held her first public rally after a summer break in the small village of Brachay, in the Haute-Marne, on Saturday.
Hundreds of National Front supporters welcomed the politician with cheers as she rejected the EU's Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), calling instead for a French national agricultural policy. "Would you say thank you to a robber who would give you back a part of your money? No. It is the same with the European Union. There is not a single euro from the CAP (Common Agricultural Policy) received by our farmers which isn't a French euro," Le Pen said.
The Front National president also reaffirmed her position towards "radical Islam" during the rally, calling for the expulsion of "Islamist foreigners" and the closure of "radical mosques" in France. "I ask to put radical Islam on its knees. And I will always do it," Le Pen stated.
