
Germany: Police attend refugee centre in Schweinfurt after physical altercation
A heavy police presence was deployed to a refugee reception centre in Schweinfurt, late Thursday, after a confrontation between a group of seven refugees was about to escalate.
The police arrived quickly and managed to resolve the situation quietly and without major incident. Three refugees did, however suffer minor injuries as a result of the scuffle, with two requiring medical attention on the spot. Subsequently, police reinforcements were ordered to attend the scene to prevent any escalation, after around 50 sympathisers of the opposing sides assembled at the scene when they learned about the incident.
