Spain: Police raid home of alleged Islamic State recruiter
One person was arrested by police in San Martin de la Vega, Madrid, on Tuesday, on charges of recruiting people and sending them to join the ranks of the so-called Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) in Syria and Iraq.
This detention was made within the framework of a wider "counter-terrorism" operation in Spain and Morocco, where 13 more arrests have been carried out by Moroccan police in the cities of Nador, Driouech, Al Hoceima, Fez and Casablanca.
So far this year, up to 20 operations related to alleged "jihadist terrorism" have been carried out in Spain, with more than 50 arrests made all together.
