Greece: Two stabbed in scuffles in Lesbos
Two people were stabbed when scuffles broke out, reportedly between a group of migrants believed to be seeking asylum, in Mytilene, on Saturday.
The coastguard attempted to stop the clashing parties as families fled the area. It is not clear what the cause behind the violence was and the identity of the participants has not been released. The police could not confirm what condition the injured people are currently in.
Around 10,000 migrants are currently staying in Lesbos, with an additional 1,000 arriving every day.
The Greek authorities have said that the island is ill-equipped for the number of people in need.
