Lithuania: See NATO Humvees in live-fire exercises
The Lithuanian military took part in live-fire exercises with US troops using Humvees with .50 caliber mounted machine guns, in Pabrade on Thursday.
In July this year, Lithuania conducted joint exercises with the US at the military training centre in Gaiziunu. Around 110 soldiers took part in the training, including paratroopers and regular infantry, as well as Humvee fighting vehicles and Apache helicopters. The joint exercises are aimed at demonstrating the United States’ commitment to its NATO allies, as it continues to rotate its ground forces between the Baltic states, Poland, Romania and Bulgaria as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve.
