Russia: Lavrov criticises MH17 co-investigators for lack of transparency
The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov criticised the action of other parties involved in the MH17 investigation, on the side-lines of the ASEAN summit in Kuala Lumpur, Wednesday.
When asked by a reporter to comment on the investigation of the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 Lavrov stated that Russia was "the only country" to hand over information from the radars recorded of the area on the day of the crash. He criticised the United States for not making their information available to the public and also complained that Ukraine has not released the conversation recordings "between the air traffic controllers, between control tower and the planes which were flying on that day in that area."
The tragedy killed 289 people when the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 was brought down over eastern Ukraine en route to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam on July 17, 2014.
