UK: Thousands attend 10th annual Brixton Splash street festival
Thousands of partygoers attended the 10th annual Brixton Splash street festival in London, Sunday.
This year's event had a theme of 'Hidden History', looking at the history of Afro-Caribbean culture locally, nationally and internationally. It was the largest Brixton Splash to date, with four sound systems on hand to entertain the crowds that had gathered in the south London district. Revellers were seen dancing and enjoying the variety of food and drink on offer at the festival.
There was a large police presence on hand after violent altercations broke out at previous events however no serious incidents were recorded at the festival.
